When you’re storing 90 nearly new cars worth hundreds of thousands of pounds in a rural location then keeping them safe is obviously a high priority.
So when Janlin Motors, one of the region’s most highly-respected car dealers, needed to secure their forecourt they had no hesitation in turning to Ace Fire and Security.
“We trust them implicitly,” said Janlin’s Robert French. “Reliability is a key element of any security measures and we knew Ace would be the best company to provide this – that’s the sort of people they are, professional and trustworthy. You know it’s going to be a good job.”
Janlin is located in tiny village of Warrington, near Olney on the A428 Bedford to Northampton Road.Apart from being a used car dealership the company also has a shop, office and petrol station on the site. However, a decision to close the 24-hour petrol station at night caused the company to re-think its entire security requirements.
“The staff at the petrol station were effectively providing a night watch so we knew that losing them meant replacing their watchful eye with another effective means of security,” added Robert.
Ace Fire and Security provided Janlin with the very latest high tech functional dome CCTV cameras to ensure their entire forecourt, office and petrol station were monitored throughout the night. Strategically located infrared beams pick up the slightest body movement and trigger the cameras to move to that location.
More importantly those real time high quality images are beamed back to a 24-hour monitoring station where security staff can operate the camera remotely – zoom in and even speak to the intruders through a loud speaker audio link.
To secure the office and shop Janlin also employed Ace to install intruder alarms which automatically call police when activated.
“Our new security system is effectively our night watchman and police officer
all in one,” added Robert.
