Oil and energy company Saudi Aramco occupy the third and fourth floors of a large building in London. Our fit-out partner, Maris, required a partner who could design and install a security solution to include intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.

Key Issues

The client needed a full security solution to protect their people and assets. They wanted to work with their existing access control system, Kantech, and needed cables to be well hidden so as not to take away from the impressive, open reception space with Italian marble floors.

Ace approach

We installed access control, CCTV and intruder alarms on both floors.

Kantech access control was chosen to fit with the existing infrastructure and added to speed lanes in the reception area, which were accessed via a card reader. We installed a Texecom intruder alarm and Intevo ADC CCTV throughout the space.

Great care was taken to ensure that cabling was well hidden so as not to take away from the impressive feel of the large open plan space.

We provided a dedicated Project Manager who was on-site at all times throughout the installation to ensure the project ran on time and to budget.

Outcome

The site benefits from a robust security solution including access control, CCTV and intruder alarms, all installed in a way that maintains the wow factor of the space. All work was completed on time and within budget.

This project led to an ongoing relationship with Saudi Aramco. They have since sublet some of their floor space to another client and we have helped the transition by adding more access control and moving CCTV cameras. Ace has since worked with them to make their office more covid secure, by automating seven of their access control points and adding thermal imaging technology.
