We partnered with Maris on a fit-out project for global company Solera’s new EMEA HQ in Bracknell. The expansive new office space covered 52,000 sq ft with a large open plan mezzanine floor overlooking the reception. The client required a full security solution, including access control, CCTV and intruder alarms.

## Key Issues

Solera had specific requirements for the products they wanted to use within the building. Their preference was for Dormakaba access control system to match those already used in their offices worldwide. Key areas of focus were the two main entrances to the building; a reception area at the front and a staff entrance to the rear.

## Ace approach

We were provided with an initial brief and drawings, and then worked with Maris and the client to identify vulnerable areas within the building, which resulted in us adding a few more access control points to ensure optimal security. An Account Manager and Project Manager were involved through every stage of the project.

The Dormakaba access control system was added to the two main entrances on the ground floor, as well as to individual floors within the building. We worked directly with Dormakaba to ensure the installation was completed accurately and on time.

HikVision CCTV cameras were installed throughout the building and externally, and a Texecom intruder alarm was installed to cover the entire building.

## Outcome

The site benefits from access control, CCTV and an intruder alarm to ensure the safety of the building, assets, facilities and over 240 staff who work there. We were able to meet the client’s specific requirements of the project on time and within budget, including installation of the Dormakaba access control system. Since completing the project, Ace has become a direct service partner to Solera, providing on-going 24/7 monitoring and maintenance support.
